Brittanis

  Brittanis 110 AR Brittanis is both the name of this Live Action Adventure game and the name of the continent upon which the game is set. Brittanis is a continent slightly larger in size than California. The planet of Aerys is approximately as large as our own, and Brittanis lies in roughly the same place longitudinally. This places Albion (the focus of the current chapter's action) in the central temperate region. Northern Brittanis is cold, wet, and dreary in climate, though the temperature and weather of The Waste defy all natural trends and many of the laws of magic as well. That magic-blasted land makes its own rules and remains a harsh, inhospitable place even in the best parts of the year. The mountains forming the southern border of Orkenay and some of Lyonesse serve as a natural windbreak for the central heartlands of Brittanis, making for an expansive area of mild weather and excellent growing conditions. The central temperate zone of Brittanis is the largest, and does not significantly change until the tremendous, magic-enhanced woodland known as the Forest of Seridane. The epic magics used to enhance the growth of that enchanted woodland affect the local weather and climate, keeping the area relatively warm and moist even in the depths of frozen winter. The island of Rendayn, home of the High Elves, is a gigantic, lush valley protected by two huge mountain ranges. Its forests and mountain glades are as beautiful as the cities the elves have molded from the landscape. South and east of Seridane, the climate and terrain change rapidly, turning from temperate plains and deciduous woodlands into semi-arid grasslands, rugged scrub and dry piney forests and plains filled with cactus.
